Massage your dog's ears, feet, mouth, tummy and tail area every day. Every dog needs to know that people touching them is safe and non-threatening. This activity often prevent a dog from biting when touched unexpectedly and allows you to treat medical conditions like ear infections, cuts and scrapes. Handling the mouth will allow you to examine and brush teeth, give pills and remove unsafe items your dog may grab. Massage is also a great bonding tool. Dogs love it.
Keep a first aid kit just for your dog.
